   Samade on the Beach is situated beachside on the gorgeous white sands of Ootu beach on the
south eastern point of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands. Ootu Beach is set overlooking the turquoise Aitutaki Lagoon with the best swimming locations on the main island of Aitutaki. The lagoon directly off our beach has a soft sandy bottom with both deep and shallow waters.

Samade offers 12 Beachside Aitutaki accommodation Bungalows just a hop, skip, and a jump away from our most prestigious Aitutaki lagoon and the popular Samade Restaurant and Bar which is open 7-days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our Tuesday Island Night Buffet Dinner and Show is not to be missed. We also have a Sunday night BBQ dinner in our Aitutaki beachfront bar and restaurant.

Samade's Aitutaki accommodation are custom built and provide all the creature comforts of home while still giving that special Aitutaki tropical island feel. Each bungalow is equipped with, Air-conditioning, ceiling fan, king size bed, fridge, kettle, coffe/tea facilities, 14" TV - 24 hours per day, stereo/3cd/tape/radio player, hair dryer, laundry service and daily maid service.

Ootu beach is the kicking off point for some of the local tour operators that take you One Foot Island, Moturakau, and Ropota on daily snorkeling and sight seeing adventures, our staff will be happy to help arrange tours and provide information on the local motu's (little islets). You can take our complimentary kayaks for a day trip to the Motu's and usually have a beach to yourself for the day. Kayaks are for rent for non-guests as well.

Getting to Aitutaki...

All travellers must fly into Rarotonga International Airport then catch a local flight over to Aitutaki with Air Raro.
Air Raro is the only local carrier at this time. Ther are 5 flights a day to Aitutaki form Rarotonga, Monday -Saturday and two flights at present on Sunday.
Air New Zealand and Pacific Blue are the two main carriers into Rarotonga.
